According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tien Giang province, on the occasion of the New Year’s Eve 2023 (from December 31, 2022 to January 2, 2023), it is estimated that the province has welcomed about 16,500 visitors, with an increase of 485.7% over the same period in 2022; including over 2,000 international visitors. Revenue from tourism is estimated at VND7.7 billion, increasing by 270.5% over the same period in 2022.

Tourists come to visit Thoi Son Island through My Tho Tourist Wharf.

Specifically, My Tho city welcomed 4,200 visitors; Dong Hoa Hiep ancient village (Cai Be district) welcomed 500 visitors; Dong Tam Snake Farm (Chau Thanh district) welcomed 2,900 visitors; Tan Thanh beach (Go Cong Dong district) welcomed 6,500 visitors; Truc Lam Chanh Giac Zen Monastery (Tan Phuoc district) welcomed 1,200 visitors; Ap Bac Victory relic site (Cai Lay town) welcomed 700 visitors; other tourist attractions welcomed about 500 visitors.

Room capacity in the province is about 55% - 60% (especially in My Tho city and Cai Lay town over 90%). Tourist service establishments in the province strictly comply with the provisions of the law, especially maintaining service quality, listing prices and selling at listed prices, food hygiene and safety, fire prevention, etc.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the solemn organization of the 60th Anniversary of the Ap Bac Victory Day on the evening of December 31, 2022 with art performances with the theme "Proud of the heroic Ap Bac" and low-range artistic fireworks along with a variety of activities have contributed to attracting tourists to Tien Giang province.
