According to the People's Committee of Tien Giang province, in 2022, the province has had 900 new businesses set up with a total registered capital of production and business of VND5,900 billion, 34.3% higher than the set target. The province now has 6,100 registered businesses, attracting over 195,000 employees. Promoting the above results, in 2023, Tien Giang province plans to develop at least 830 new businesses, with an increase of 23.9% compared to the 2022 plan.

Right from the beginning of 2023, the province has introduced many measures to promote business development, especially actively supporting businesses and entrepreneurs to overcome difficulties, restore production and business development, and dominate market in association with improving the business and investment environment and enhancing investment promotion. On the other hand, encourage entrepreneurs, investors as well as large business households in the province to develop into enterprises, expand production and business, and create labor and jobs.

At the beginning of the new year 2023 and the Lunar New Year, the province established delegations to visit and give gifts to encourage typical businesses and entrepreneurs in the area to develop good plans to expand the scale of production - business effectively in the year. At the same time, the province organizes business meetings to celebrate New Year in order to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of enterprises, difficulties and advantages arising from production practices, to have plans and measures to assist in solving problems in a timely and effective manner.

Periodically during the year, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also presides over the Business Dialogue Conference in industrial zones, clusters and key areas as well as implement business support plans, support digital transformation in businesses, organize business development conferences with the participation of all levels and sectors in order to promote business development.

Many business development policies have been actively implemented by the locality in a synchronous and effective manner, such as: Supporting businesses and employees in tax exemption and reduction, fees and charges; extending tax payment, land rent, training and improving the quality of human resources, etc. associated with administrative procedure reform, improving the business-investment environment, encouraging the transformation from household businesses to enterprise models in order to expand production and business scale, dominate the market, contribute to the recovery and socio-economic development of Tien Giang province in a strong and sustainable way.

The province has paid attention to solving labor needs for businesses after the pandemic. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Tien Giang province cooperates with relevant sectors to survey, collect, synthesize, analyze and process information necessary for short-term and long-term forecasting of labor market information for workers and businesses in need. Thereby, improving the quality of labor market information, timely connecting between employers and employees, ensuring effective service for investment, employment, job search to do and business development in the area.
