After the Lunar New Year 2023, as of January 30, 2023 (on the 9th day of the Lunar New Year), the total number of enterprises and cooperatives returning to production is 305/314 enterprises, reaching the rate of 97.13%, corresponding to 95,374/98,954 workers returning to work. In addition, there are 09 enterprises temporarily suspending production, the reason is that enterprises do not have production orders.

Provincial Trade Unions at all levels monitor and grasp information about business labor needs to introduce for workers.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Tien Giang province, in January 2023, 1,660 labors were consulted, introduced jobs for 123 labors, of which, there are 36 workers got stable jobs, and 37 employees working abroad for a definite time. In addition, a decision was made to receive unemployment benefits for 923 employees, with a total payment equivalent to VND 17.2 billion.

Mr. Hoang Khac Tinh, Vice Chairman of the Labor Confederation of Tien Giang province, said that the provincial Labor Confederation has directed trade unions at all levels in the province to regularly monitor and promptly report the situation of reductions and terminations of labor contract and implementation plan of the enterprise. In particular, directing the grassroots trade union of enterprises to join with the employer to find solutions to overcome difficulties and stabilize production; give suggestions on plans to cut and reduce labor such as reducing working hours, suspending and terminating labor contracts in accordance with the law, ensuring the interests of employees.

In addition, the Provincial Labor Confederation has also promoted propaganda, mobilized workers to feel secure in working, producing, and sharing difficulties with businesses. Moreover, the provincial trade unions also know information about the employment needs of enterprises to introduce them to workers whose labor contracts are suspended or terminated.

At the same time, the provincial Labor Confederation has requested the trade unions at all levels in the province to continue strengthening coordination with functional sectors in inspecting and supervising the observance of labor laws, especially the temporary suspension of labor, terminating labor contracts, etc. of employees at the enterprise.
