Phu Quoi Agricultural Service Cooperative links production and consumption of safe vegetables.

According to the Sub-Department of Rural Development, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, implementing Resolution No. 07/2019/NQ-HĐND dated July 12, 2019 of the Provincial People's Council stipulating support policies to support linkages in the production and consumption of agricultural products, the Agriculture and Rural Development sector has advised the Provincial People's Committee to promulgate the Plan on linkage in production and consumption of agricultural products in Tien Giang province in the 2021 - 2025 period.

Up to now, there are 109 approved projects/plans, and there are 21 joint projects/plans approved for implementation in the fields of rice, vegetables, livestock and fruits. In which, there is 01 project with a support budget of over VND 1 billion approved by the province, the remaining 20 projects/joint plans with a support budget of less than VND 1 billion approved by the district level.

Out of the 21 approved linkage projects/plans, there are 21 agricultural cooperatives, 22 enterprises with about 850 farmer households to participate in the linkage of agricultural product value chains. The total capital to support 21 projects/plans in the period of 2020 - 2023 is VND 68.9 billion, of which, the support capital from the State budget is VND 14.1 billion.

Some effective linkage models such as: Linking project between My Quoi Agricultural Service Cooperative and Phuoc Loc Thien Ho Co., Ltd in Hau My Bac B commune, Cai Be district. The project has a scale of 100 hectares with 90 participating households. The cooperative builds a safe rice model in the direction of organic, participates in the project of rice applying high-tech agriculture, contributing to improving the quality and building the rice brand. Currently, 02 rice products ST24, Nang Hoa 9 of the company affiliated with the production cooperative have been appraised and recognized for 4-star OCOP products.

Typically, there are some effective models such as the vegetable association plan of Tan Dong Safe Vegetable Cooperative, in Tan Dong commune, Go Cong Dong district; Phu Quoi Agricultural Service Cooperative, in Yen Luong Commune; Thanh Hung Safe Vegetable Cooperative, in Thanh Tri Commune, Go Cong Tay District. These cooperatives cooperate with members to produce vegetables in the direction of safety, certified VietGAP with an output of 03 - 04 tons/day. Their consumption markets are supermarkets, restaurants and exported to Japan and European countries.
