Dong Thap Muoi Ecological Conservation Area consists of 100 ha of the central area and 1,800 ha of the buffering area. Dong Thap Muoi Region has 70 kinds of plants and 83 species of animals which are conserved to serve for tourism and many rare and valuable animals are also conserved here.

Visiting Dong Thap Mini Region, the tourists will feel more interested when visiting and discovering the cane-brake forests or following the ditches to watch the wild animals such as bird, stork, ardeidae and anas platyrhynchos, etc. The aquatic products here are also very various and diversified.

In the pineapple season, from Tan Lap Pineapple Plantation next to Dong Thap Muoi Region, the boats full with pineapples are traveling to the fruit wholesale places. Visiting this place, we will have the opportunity to enjoy the special taste of Dong Thap Muoi's specialties and visit the pristine indigo forests which were already gone into the history of Vietnam through the wars for protecting the country of the local people here.
