Cai Be Floating Market was established from Nguyen Dynasty. At the first establishment days, this place was known as the cargo transfer hub between the Western and Eastern provinces. Cai Be Floating Market becomes one of the biggest wholesale markets in the Southeast region, located in Cai Be township, Cai Be district, Tien Giang province.

The market is located on the Tien river section sharing the borders with 3 provinces of Tien Giang, Vinh Long and Ben Tre. The most beautiful moment of the market is at the dawn when the boats are full with goods of all types offered for sales such as cloth, fish sauce, salt or traditional dishes such as Hu Tieu (noodles with seasoned and sauté beef), Banh Canh (rice spaghetti), etc. Especially, many kinds of fruits are traded along Tan Phong Island in the boats stretching through kilometers.

Visiting this place, the tourists will get acquainted with the term of "Chuc" to calculate ("Chuc" means ten (10) in English but in this place "Chuc" means dozen (12)). Located on the right bank of Cai Be Floating Market, it is Tan Phong Island, formerly called Cu Island in Dinh Vien, Long Ho consisting of 6 small beautiful islands with the total area of 2,430 ha. Tan Phong Island is as a blue pearl at the middle of Tien river and famous for rambutan for big size and sweet taste and Gao snails which can be only found at Tan Phong Island. This is the reduced image of the delta and especially attractive to the tourists for the unique features of the garden land. Especially on the lunar May 5^th, many tourists from everywhere come here to take a bath at the island.
