That is the directing statement of Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the meeting with people of Ward 9, My Tho city on Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) in the afternoon of March 20, 2019, at Ward 9 Cultural House.
People gave their opinions at the meeting.
More than 400 people in Ward 9 expressed their satisfaction in terms of PAPI over the past time. Besides, people have raised some recommendations related to environmental pollution of production facilities; shortcomings of planning and implementing plans; increasing infrastructure investment such as roads, electricity, water, etc.
After listening to the opinions and recommendations of the people, representatives of the provincial leaders, relevant departments and agencies, leaders of Ward 9 and My Tho city answered and exchanged the issues which were raised by the people at the meeting. Accordingly, the responsible agencies and departments would conduct surveys and solve issues such as investing in the Nam Vang canal road in 2019; investing in electric network to ensure technical and safety, ending the situation of people connecting electricity on their own, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that although people in Ward 9 only had 5 comments, they are very accurate. Ward 9 was urbanized 15 years ago but there are still many limitations in accessing the urban model in the right way, which is a disadvantage of the people. He suggested that the leaders of My Tho city have to review and gradually invests in infrastructure such as roads, sidewalks, sewers, clean water, daily-life electricity, lighting, environmental pollution, etc. The meeting helped people in Ward 9 to understand more about the concept of Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index, thereby helping the authorities to effectively solve and implement some life and welfare issues in local society to get better and better.
