With a passion for reading, in the National Reading Culture Ambassador Contest held in early 2019, Le Nguyen Tuyet Nhi (students of grade 11D1 at Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School) and Dao Kien Truc (students of grade 510 at Thien Ho Vuong Primary School) had won the Third Prize excellently, and were awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Dao Kien Truc: Reading book will help you broaden your knowledge
According to Kien Truc, reading a page every day will not only provide you with a fortune of knowledge but also teach us many interesting things in life. Despite of her young in age, Kien Truc gives great attendance to reading. She said that after studying at school and completing homeworks, she spent her time reading. Life philosophy books are the most interesting ones that she loves because those give her a better perspective about life and more determined to conquer her dream.
In the essay on "What do you do when you are a Reading Culture Ambassador?", Kien Truc shared that if she is, she will express the new ideas to her school library to improve the quality of library activities better and better; organize reading sessions as well as learn new books with friends.
Commenting on Kien Truc, Ms. To Thi Bay, the Principal of Thien Ho Duong Primary School said: "Kien Truc is both a good and very active student in the school's arts and sports activities. She has a beautiful voice and is an excellent artist. In the class, she is very sociable, and is loved by teachers and friends."
Le Nguyen Tuyet Nhi: Books are endless treasure of knowledge
Received the Third prize at the lasted National Reading Culture Ambassador Contest is a well-deserved reward for Tuyet Nhi's continuous efforts. In her opinion, reading means a lot to students' age. Reading not only helps us open up the treasure of human knowledge but also every book will help us enhance our understanding of life values, help us have more energy and faith to strive day by day.
Tuyet Nhi shared: "From my perspective, we should not read once the whole book because via this reading method, we can not fully understand the meaning that the author wants to convey. However, despite of only reading a short paragraph, if we understand and ponder the meaning that the author meant to be considered, the right method of reading is here".
To love books, respect books values, each of Tuyet Nhi's books is arranged neatly on her bookshelf. Everyday, after stressful studying hours, she often reads books to calm down her mind. The passion to books leads Tuyet Nhi's bookshelf getting thicker and thicker. Tuyet Nhi values every book even though it is very small one and treats them as her best friends.
At school, Tuyet Nhi is a comprehensive student; her GPA is quite impressive with 9.6/10 points. In the lasted April 30th Olympic Contest, Tuyet Nhi won the Gold Medal in Literature. Tuyet Nhi said that she studied well in all subjects but her favorite subject is Literature, because studying Literature not only helps us to write Vietnamese grammar correctly but also helps us understand what the value of life is and teach us how to become a useful civil.
