Awarding 53 models and products winning the Provincial Creative Competition of Youth and Children in 2015-2016

On September 11th, 2016, at the Provincial Conference Center, Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations (USTA) held a Closing Conference of the 9th Provincial Creative Competition of Youth and Children in 2015 - 2016. Participation included Mr. Tran Thanh Duc, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments.

Mr. Tran Thanh Duc, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee awarded 3 first prizes for students.

According to the report of the provincial USTA, through widely deploying the competition of the provincial USTA, Department of Education and Training and Youth Union, there were 560 models and products of the contestants from the districts, towns and city. Since then, the provincial USTA chose 211 models and products to attend to the provincial-level competition.

The competition has become a movement of both learning and creating in youth and children throughout the province: 11 Divisions of Education and Training, 12 high schools, 01 college and 01 vocational school participated; and their products are creative and efficient in practical application.

Mr. Nguyen Van Khang, Chairman of the USTA and Ms. Tran Thi Quy Mao, Vice Director of Department of Education and Training awarded second prizes for 6 students.

The models and products are concentrated on 5 areas, such as learning aids, computer software, friendly environmental products, household items, children's toys and products for environmental protection and economic development. The juries scored according to each grade and each area, and they selected 53 models and products which won the provincial-level prizes, including 3 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 38 consolation prizes.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Vice Chairman of the USTA awarded merits for 3 units which well-organized the competition.

Concurrently, Provincial People's Committee, the USTA and Youth Union have granted many merits, certificates of merit for the collectives and individuals who have a good performance. The organization board has launched the 10th Provincial Creative Competition of Youth and Children in 2016-2017.

The award-winning models and products were exhibited at the Provincial Conference Center.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Duc, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee noted the role of the USTA and departments in jointly organizing the competition in 9 times; praised students whose models and products won. In the coming time, to help the competition get a higher efficiency, the organization board needs to widely propagate to participants and help students approach their creative thinking, nice dream and ambition. Students should read more books, accumulate multidisciplinary and multi-aspect knowledge, and have creative and critical thinking. At the same time, the sector of Education and Training needs to renew teaching methods, transform students' potential into reality, increasing the competitiveness of the young generation and Vietnamese people. The USTA has to be a core, create specific scales and have expertise councils.
