Long Hung Communal House
Talking about Southern Uprising in November 1940 in My Tho, it is thought immediately about Long Hung Communal House in Long Hung commune, Chau Thanh district. This was the commanding headquarter and the central of the uprising where the first red flag with yellow star hanged at the night of the uprising. The Communal House was built since XIX Century and burnt for many times in the war and formerly to worship the Tutelary God and the General of the Army Le Van Duyet - a meritorious official of Nguyen Dynasty. Today, the Communal House was rebuilt in the location of the former communal house within a spacious campus and next to the communal house is the temple to worship Nguyen Thi Thap who led the Southern uprising in My Tho.
