In the first 6 months of 2021, despite being significantly affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the value of industrial and handicraft industry of Cai Lay district continued to achieve outstanding results.
Specifically, the district currently has 41 companies, 20 enterprises and over 300 industrial and handicraft production establishments in the non-state sector. In the past time, companies and enterprises have tried to be flexible in production methods, actively find outputs for products, link production and consumption of products with businesses outside the locality, apply scientific and technical advances into production, improving workers' skills, etc. As a result, the industrial and handicraft production value of the district in the first 6 months of 2021 reached more than VND334 billion, achieving nearly 50% of the target, with an increase of more than 6.4% over the same period.
In the remaining months of 2021, the district will continue to create favorable conditions for companies and businesses to overcome difficulties; supporting businesses to perform well the association, community cooperation, etc. Thereby, both helping companies and enterprises develop, and promoting the economic development of the district.

One of the activities of practical significance is vocational training and job placement for laborers. Based on local reality, Cai Lay district has set an average target of 1,541 jobs created each year, to complete the common goal in the period of 2020 – 2025, there will be 7,705 jobs created.
In order to achieve the set goals, Cai Lay district regularly coordinates with functional sectors and vocational schools to organize short-term and long-term vocational training classes for people of working age, people who need to learn and practice more. At the same time, the district introduces jobs for employees to work at companies and businesses inside and outside the locality. Thereby, they contribute to raising people's income, reducing social evils and promoting socio-economic development in the area.
